Memorial Quilt to help bring an end to AIDS. To achieve this, The NAMES
Project Foundation and the Central New Jersey Chapter have established
the following goals:

- Increase public awareness of AIDS
- Assist with HIV prevention education
- Raise funds for community-based AIDS service organization
Our local Chapter, one of many around the country, works to fulfill the goals of The NAMES Project
Foundation, the national organization that displays and maintains the AIDS
Memorial Quilt. We work together in the following ways:
- Panelmaking
- Overview of panelmaking
- Hosting a panelmaking workshop
- Chapter sponsored panelmaking workshops
- Chapter sponsored panel dedications
- Displays
- Arrange both small and large local displays of the Quilt at
schools, places of worship, businesses, community organizations,
and for World AIDS Day Commemorations
- Fundraising and Donations
- Sponsor a variety of fundraising events throughout the
year along with memberships, honorariums, and other activities to
support the Chapter's efforts, and provide funds to local AIDS
organizations.
Volunteering is encouraged for anyone who wishes to join our growing
family. We are friends, lovers, parents, spouses and family members. We
are gay men, lesbians, straight, white, people of color, working
professionals, retirees and students. All of our lives are touched by AIDS.
Committee positions are always available to those interested in working with
the Chapter.
